First Day School meets each Sunday at
11 am, during the regular Meeting for Worship. The class is led by our teacher
Sedona Murphy, assisted by a rotating schedule of other adults. The students
come to the meetinghouse to join their families for the last 10-15 minutes
Children visting for a single lesson usually fit into the class activities easily. We are very proud of how welcoming the boys and girls of our First Day School are to new children.
The children assemble a puzzle that illustrates the concept of community while discussing the Quaker values which make up the acronym "SPICES:" Simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and service.
