Join us for a for a Lecture on the Quaker Peace Testimony presented by David Harrington Watt 

 

Sunday, September 29th at 2:00pm 

 

The lecture will feature an overview of the Quaker approach toward peace from the 1640’s to the present including a case study of the First World War. David Harrington Watt is the Douglas and Dorothy Steere Professor of Quaker Studies at Haverford College. 

 

Followed by: 

Explore Merion Friends Meeting 

 

A special guided tour of the 1695 National Historic Landmark Meeting House, burial ground, and horse sheds. 

 

Refreshments with be served afterwards 

in Friends Hall
